Living with Diabetes - Stamford

Friday 16th November 2018, between 1.00pm – 4.30pm

at the Meeting Hall, Stamford and Rutland Hospital, Ryhall Road, Stamford PE9 1UA

Stamford and District Lions with Lakeside Healthcare Stamford PPG and Diabetes UK are hosting a Living with Diabetes Event.

There will be information about self care, diet, physical activities, footcare and support available for those with diabetes in the Stamford area.

There will be a chance to ask questions about local NHS provision and to meet other people with Diabetes. 

The session is free and refreshments will be provided.

14:00  Physical Activity as part of your self-management: Ryan Marrow ICS                          
14:20  Sleep and the impact on Diabetes and you: Prof. Graham Law, Lincoln University 

14:40  BREAK - Refreshments  and opportunity to ask speakers questions

15:10  Retinopathy and eye testing: Ophthalmologist - to be confirmed       


15:30  How to look after your feet and avoid complications: Sarah Burgon, Advanced Podiatrist 

15:50  Developments in Diabetes Provision in South Lincolnshire: Sam Raybould, South and South West Lincolnshire CCG

Attend one, several or all of the talks. The aim is to be informal and informational. Parking will be an issue,  Morrison’s car park is an option.
