Stamford staff take part in Rutland parkrun
Lakeside colleagues from Stamford and Bourne took part in Rutland parkrun and are encouraging other colleagues and patients to get involved too.
Stamford and Hereward surgeries are both ‘parkrun’ practices, promoting the benefits of fresh air and exercise. Events take place all over the country every Saturday and anyone can join in the fun by walking, jogging, running, volunteering or spectating.
Doctors Gavin Cattigan and Sian Dronfield from Stamford took part, along with a doctor from Bourne and members of the neighbourhood and administrative teams. Social prescriber Jo Dunlop said: ‘The Rutland Parkrun team gave us a great welcome and volunteers were really encouraging. We all enjoyed it despite the cold weather and coffee and snacks afterwards were well earned!'
The team will be taking part in future events, sharing dates on the practice’s Facebook page so that anyone who wants to come along and join in the fun will be very welcome.
